Have faith, we help plant seeds of hope in our community on a weekly basis. Last night I learned my counsel helped a client save her home. She was very close to losing the home her deceased husband built, but she still had hope that something would work in her favor. I provided her every option, a contract for deed was one, with the warning it would have put at least another $20k of debt onto her balance. She kept mentioning her family and how they could help, but she lacked the faith to ask them for help. I continually advised that was her best option, she did finally ask, and she can keep her home for now.
She could have leveraged her situation better and saved thousands of dollars, but she didn’t trust me fully, which I understand, I’m but a stranger, but it’s unfortunate. I have faith that through these posts, with my knowledge of this industry and sincere heart, that I can earn people’s trust more often in the coming years.
Our first assignment is to provide our client real options to save their home. Our activity and counsel in our community help plant the seeds of hope for many. What is done with that hope, unfortunately, isn’t always within our grasp: “Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”.*
My research for this post didn’t extend far beyond the most researched and best selling book ever, but if you are searching for what’s missing, maybe start with these?
Mt. Olivet is starting to do a great job with daily online encouragement and streaming: “During times of crisis, Christians find hope, solace, comfort, and courage in their faith.” https://mtolivet.org/together-at-mount-olivet/
I liked parts of this article: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/hope-vs-faith-or-faith-an_b_8907892 “Faith is confidence or trust in a person or thing or a belief not based on proof and Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation or desire. Faith says it is so now, and hope says in the future it could happen.”
And parts of this one: http://www.therebelchristian.com/blog/the-difference-between-faith-and-hope-a-christians-view892018, “You have to make sure you aren’t just hopeful… Make sure what you have is hope and faith combined.”
